Part III – Archetype VIII “The Recruiter Overlords”
“URGENT: Looking for a unicorn with 17 skills and 0 salary expectations.”

They live in your inbox. They feed on your desperation.
They post jobs with absurd criteria and vague locations. Every interaction feels like a trap wrapped in corporate jargon:
“Hi John, saw your profile and thought of you for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity (contract, no benefits, requires 27 years’ experience in a niche framework you’ve never heard of).”
And yet – when you’re job-hunting – you reply. Every time.
Signature moves:
“Exciting opportunity!” = red flag
Refusal to list compensation
Ghosting after the second round
Self-test: Ever replied “interested” to a role that didn’t make sense just to feel seen? Same here.
