Part III – Archetype VI “The False Humility Posters”
“Honoured to be recognised by my team (that I nominated myself for).”

The line between pride and performance art is thin, and this user dances on it like a tightrope walker with a thesaurus.
They’re always “humbled,” “speechless,” or “in shock” about yet another award, panel invite, or blog feature they organised themselves. It’s LinkedIn cosplay – modest on the surface, glowing underneath.
You can smell the self-congratulation under the scented mist of “gratitude.”
Signature moves:
“Didn’t expect this!” (Definitely did.)
“This is not about me, but…” (It is.)
An emotionally manipulative narrative arc in three acts
Self-test: Ever started a post with “I wasn’t going to share this, but…” and shared it anyway? You’re fluent in faux humility.
