The Forgotten Tribe: LinkedIn’s Quiet Originals

About the Author

John K Philip
Chief Domestic Officer | Philosopher at Large | Recovering Satirist

He once wrote The Ultimate (and Unhinged) LinkedIn Archetypes – a field guide to the digital delusion. He returns now, older, softer, to salute the ones who never joined the circus, and to apologise to those in the spotlight in whom he failed to see the flicker of sincerity.

Having played both clown and critic, he now prefers the quiet seats: watching, writing, occasionally commenting “Well said.”

Offline, he continues his tenure as Chief Domestic Officer – negotiating peace treaties between parents, spouse, child, pets, and the occasional plumber. Crisis-cooking remains his preferred mindfulness practice, and chutneys his legacy project.

Professionally, he has worn many hats – consultant, educator, and reluctant philosopher – all of which fit slightly askew but seem to keep the wind out. His day begins with coffee, ends with books, and somewhere in between he still believes that words, when written honestly, can outlast the algorithm.

He no longer chases metrics, miracles, or promotions.
He’s content chasing meaning – and the next good recipe.
Deliverables: none.
ROI: perspective.
