The Forgotten Tribe: LinkedIn’s Quiet Originals

The Guiding Voices
(The ones who comment with care, not correction)

“They never ‘fix’ you. They remind you that you’re already growing.”

The Guiding Voices are the first to reach out after a vulnerable post, and the last to make it about themselves. Their comments read like handshakes – brief, firm, human.

They don’t tell you what to think; they ask what you’ve learned. Their gift isn’t providing answers, but reflecting your own strength back at you. They rarely give advice in public, but somehow always message you just when you need it most.

Their influence doesn’t trend – it travels.

Signature moves:

  • Comments that sound like mentorship distilled into one line.
  • Shares other people’s reflections without adding a sermon.
  • Treats every conversation as a chance to listen, not lecture.
  • Makes digital space feel strangely like sanctuary.

Self-test:
Ever found yourself drafting a reply and deleting it because you realised encouragement would do more good than analysis?

That’s the Guiding Voice in you.
