Part IV – Archetype II “The ‘Haven’t Spoken Since…’ Reconnectors”
“Hey! Been ages. Anyway, can you review my pitch deck by tomorrow?”

They resurface after years of silence – but not to catch up. Oh no. They need something. A referral. A job lead. Feedback on their new “game-changing” app.
The catch-up small talk is two lines long, max. Then comes the real reason for the message.
LinkedIn is less “networking” for them and more “just-in-time resource request.”
Signature moves:
“Hope you’re well!” followed by an immediate ask
Pretending to have read your recent posts (they haven’t)
Ghosting again once the ask is done
Self-test: Ever messaged someone after years just for a quick favour? We’ve all worn that hat.
